What Improv Has Taught Me About Facilitation

A few years into improv classes, I’ve found it’s become a genuine asset to my facilitation practice, not just a hobby. Stepping into a scene with no idea what’s about to happen builds the same confidence I need when a session goes somewhere unplanned, and finding your way forward with a scene partner through eye contact, embodiment and trust mirrors a lot of what good facilitation actually requires.

Having just finished a Level 2 course with AndAlso Improv under Ali Hannon, I’m looking forward to building on it with a longer form this autumn, alongside the total joy of laughing that hard every week.
