After four years as an EDI Officer at Brighton & Hove City Council, I stepped away, not because the work stopped mattering, but because I’m ready to do more of it, in more places and with more flexibility. The role grounded my practice in what inclusion actually looks and feels like on the ground, from equality impact assessments to training and community-facing work, and affirmed a belief that’s guided my whole career: that equity is a practice, not just a principle.
That commitment has now shaped the launch of my own consultancy, offering bespoke EDI training across foundational EDI, intersectional service delivery, mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and neurodivergence and disability inclusion.
